Shunting tractor! Note turntable under the centre. This is lowered, raising the tractor which can rotate and align onto the track. Note knuckle coupler at the front, buffers at the back.

Seqenence is drive tractor to centre of track at right angles, drop turntable, rotate tractor, raise turntable your tractor is now on the track.
